Looking at the World Around You: Contemporary Works from Qatar Museums is the first great exhibition celebrated outside of Qatar and comprising a selection of modern and contemporary pieces belonging to the Qatar Museums, which hold one of the most significant collections of Arab art in the world.
The exhibition will include over 160 works by 34 Arabic artists from countries that share many historical and cultural ties with Qatar, featuring a number of artistic disciplines such as paintings, sculptures, photography, installations and video installations.
This exhibition features works by artists such as: Etel Adnan, Mona Hatoum, Hassan Sharif, Faraj Daham, Mounir Fatmi, Shirin Neshat, Wael Shawky, Youssef Nabil or Ghada Amer.
